Find Your Fitness Community
There is nothing that fills this Trainers heart faster than listening to my fitness community commiserate together after a difficult group session. Especially, when they are making plans and setting goals together. Now the AX Fitness community is a bit smaller than it use to be but I can assure you that it thrives and the peeps are tight.
The Trainer gets some education...
One of the most important aspects of what I do is continuing education. Fitness changes, trends evolve, and science prevails once in a while. Sometimes, this is a matter of self study. Sometimes we learn from other professionals, watch countless hours of videos, spend a bit too much time looking at research, try out other gyms and formats, and take classes/CEUs.
And then it happens...
You are training like a rock star. You feel better than you ever have, your clothes fit amazing, you know you look better than ever and everyone else notices as well. Now you are ready to tackle the world!
You decide it’s time for the next challenge.

Today is was pouring out, but I still had one person show up for run day. THANK YOU to my friend Jenn for showing up and sharing the fun! We were drenched but it sure felt great to be out in the warm summer rain!
Push ups: Do them right!
There are a variety of basic exercises that we should all do on a regular basis. We should be incorporating full body exercises like burpees but also more muscle specific ones like planks, pull ups, squats and of course push ups which all target more specific areas but help to create overall fitness.
